Less than 24 hours are remaining when BCCI is expected to announce the shifting of the Men’s T20 World cup 2021 held in India in October-November. As per reports and the information available with InsideSport, The governing body for Indian cricket BCCI is all set to shift the coming T20 world cup to The United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Oman.
Though BCCI has not officially announced to shift the mega event of this year, the country’s present situation does not allow the BCCI to take a significant risk. Therefore, Oman And UAE will host the world cup.
With
this, The BCCI also released the Schedule for the second leg of the IPL. The second leg of the league will be held from September 17 to October 10. PSL has just finished successfully that was in the UAE. This shows that
the venues will be secure for players and officials.
On Saturday, the Secretary of the governing body BCCI Jay Shah Revealed the BCCI has almost decided to move the coming ICC Men’s T20
World Cup to the UAE due to India’s current situation. The third wave of the Covid-19 is ever so dangerous. So to keep everything regular and make sure that every cricket player and officials stays safe, the event
will shift to a safer zone.
The World cup was initially announced in Australia for the year 2020. But the devastating Pandemic situation forced ICC to postpone the mega event. The Central governing body ICC gave a chance to BCCI host the T20 world
cup 2021. The hosting country did almost all the preparation. But, unfortunately, the third wave of COVID-19 forces the organizers to move to a safer zone.
