Scottish coach Shane Burger is working hard to prepare the best possible side for the coming ICC T20 World Cup will be held in the UAE and Oman. The Coach says we will initially give a chance to 40 players to prove their point and select the best possible team for the T20 World Cup. So, here is the list of the Scottish team of the initial players who will participate in training.
Scotland is in group B where they will face Bangladesh, the strongest team of the Group. Apart from that Oman that the host team and PNG which is relatively new to the format.

Looking at the initial 40 players, one can easily understand that Scotland Team for the coming T20 World is a blend of fresh blood and experience caps. So, the Scotland team looks very determined to qualify for the next round.
The Coach of the team said that “It’s encouraging to see that the depth of Scottish cricket is really good at the moment and to have such a good blend of experience and youth in this line-up.”
Some of the experienced players are back into the squad to ensure that the team performs well on this significant occasion. Because on such a big stage you need to deal with the pressure. Kyle Coetzer, Richard Berrington, Callum Macleod, Ally Evans, and Safyaan Sharif are the old pros with enough experience.

Scotland past T20 World Cups Record Scotland appeared in 2007, 2009, and 2016 editions of the T20 World Cup. In 2007, and 2009 T20 World Cups, the team directly qualified to the main round of the mega-events but couldn’t manage to win a single match. In the 2016 World Cup, the Scotland team played a qualifying round. They grabbed their first victory against Hong Kong beating them by 8 wickets.
