India vs Pakistan ICC T20 World Cup match will take place on Sunday 24th October, just five days away from now, is in danger due to Indian political interference. Indian ministers want to reconsider India vs Pakistan ICC T20 World Cup match. In other words, we can say that the Indian Politicians are forcing the BCCI not to play against Pakistan in the coming T20 world cup.
The Union Minister Giriraj Singh enforces the board to rethink the match that will be played between Pakistan and India on the 24th of this month. He said the relations between the two countries are not good and that India should not play against Pakistan.
He explained that “I think if relations (between India and Pakistan) are not good, then this should be reconsidered.” This is what the Indian ministry is thinking at the moment.
India vs. Pakistan match is always a high-octane encounter, and both the teams are arch-rivals. Not only do Pakistani and Indian fans wait for the game, but foreigners watch the match with so much interest. If the match gets canceled, it will be bad news for the fans of both countries.
We have seen a few such incidents in the history of cricket but the scenario was different there. The first incident took place at the 1996 ODI World Cup, and the hosts of this world cup were Pakistan, India, and Sri Lanka.
Two teams Australia and West Indies refused to go to Sri Lanka on the basis of security reasons. Both teams made the same excuse which helped Sri Lanka a great deal. Sri Lanka got 4 points in these two games and qualified for the quarter-final of the 1996 Cricket World Cup.
2003 ICC ODI World Cup held in South Africa, Zimbabwe, And Kenya. This time England and New Zealand were the teams to play in Zimbabwe and Kenya. ICC had awarded points to the host’s teams.
Now, here in India and Pakistan, the scenario is completely different. The relations between the two countries are still good. The second point is that India is the host of the ICC T20 World Cup 2021. How a host can deny playing against a guest team. Technically, it is not possible for India to refuse Pakistan in the ICC T20 World Cup 2021.
So, get ready for a high-octane encounter between the two traditional rivalries Pakistan and India.
