The Netherlands have announced their squad for the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup 2021, which will take place in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Oman starting from October 17, and the final of the tournament is on November 14. India is hosting the tournament, but due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the officials decided to move the world cup to a safer place.

The Netherlands have named their 15 player group as they enter the first round of the tournament. The team is a combination of experienced pros and youngsters.

The Netherlands have not qualified for the Super 12s round directly; instead, they will have to go through an eight-team qualifying round to make it into either of the two groups in the main round. The Dutch cricket team has been grouped with Srilanka, Ireland, and Namibia in Group A and will play their opening encounter against Ireland on October 18.

Apart from them, Captain Pieter Seelaar, Paul van Meerkeren, Ben Cooper, and Stephen Myburgh are some of the names people remember from their record run chase against Ireland in the 2014 T20 World Cup when Myburgh helped the Netherlands chase down 193 runs in 13.5 overs to qualify for the main draw.
