The big judgment day has finally come to an end. Sourav Ganguly, the president of BCCI, has officially confirmed that the coming ICC T20 World Cup will be held in two countries. The UAE and Oman. According to the first schedule, Oman will stage the Qualifying Round that will start on the 17th of October and ends on the 24th Of October.

The T20 world cup was initially salted in India, but the country’s present situation is not safe for all the stakeholders. That is why the governing body decided to shift the mega event to a safer zone to make sure that the Covid-19 Pandemic could not disturb the flow of the event.

According to the News Agency PTI; Ganguly said,
“We have officially intimated the ICC that the T20 World Cup can be shifted to the United Arab Emirates. The details are being chalked out,” Ganguly said. “The decision was taken keeping health safety concerns of all stakeholders in mind.”

The T20 World Cup 2021 has two rounds. The qualifying round, in which eight teams will take on each other. These eight teams are divided into two groups.

He said I have no intention to retire from the shorter format, but he feels it will be unfair with those openers who have been doing very well for the session.
