Afghanistan team is the emerging team of modern-day cricket. They made their debut in the ICC T20 World Cup for the time in 2010. It was their first appearance on the big stage. And the Scheduled ICC T20 World Cup 2021, Afghanistan has directly qualified for the Super 12 round. The Schedule of the T20 World Cup shows that the event will start on 17th October.

Afghanistan could not qualify for the first two editions of the ICC T20 World. The team appeared in the international arena in 2010 for the first time. However, there were some occasions when Afghanistan got a chance to display its performance on the international stage.
One of the most significant achievements of the Afghan team is that they appeared in the ICC T20 World Cup 2010 for the first time. However, Afghanistan did not show any guts in the event. They lost all the matches.
In the 2012 edition of the T20 World Cup, Afghanistan played the main round again but lost both matches. In 2014, Afghanistan appeared in the qualifying round but did not qualify for the main round of the world cup.
2016 edition was a good one for the Aghan team. The team qualified for the main stage of the World Cup but once again couldn’t execute what the team was hoping for. Afghanistan has directly qualified for the ICC T20 World Cup 2021 Edition leaving Bangla Desh and Sri Lanka behind. This is a significant achievement. The team is packed with a good spin bowling attack along with powerful hitters. So, they will try to reach the Semi-Final this time
